Problem with Say something with text-to-speech
« on: November 02, 2024, 08:00:15 PM »
I don't know if this is just me, or VA.

I thought this was just tokens, but apparently it seems to be anything.

You tell VA to Say something with TTS, and it's just silent.

Till just a minute ago, I thought it was just tokens not working there, but by chance, I just typed anything there, and it didn't work either.

I use TTS all the time on my computer, so it works, it's just VA doesn't seem to be working with it right now.

Again, I don't know if somehow it's me, or something in VA.

Any ideas?

I literally just had TTS read my comment, but I use Balabolka for TTS. So my TTS is working. I even changed the voice used on the Say command in VA, and nothing happened.

Have you checked that VoiceAttack isn't muted? I.E. do other sounds play audibly?

Is the "TTS Volume Offset" option set to something sensible? The default is 100.

Are you using "Integrated Components" for the "Audio Output Type", which is also the default?

When you changed the TTS voice in the action, did you try Microsoft David, or Zira?

Fixed it, VA was muted somehow. Not sure how that randomly happened. I never even thought of that as a possibility.

Thanks!
