VA repeating back
« on: May 24, 2024, 01:19:46 PM »
Hi, in this video, around 0'55", VA is repeating back what the user has just said (not just repeating a command).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba8rO0_X-j4

How can I have VA repeating back what I'm dictating ? (not a command)
Thx.

It appears that the user in that video has created some form of checklist system where 'Say something with text to speech' actions are used to say things back to the user after they have been said BY that user.

This is not the same as using Dictation Mode and having text-to-speech read back what was dictated.  Dictation in Windows is not particularly good, and that's no fault of VoiceAttack which is merely using the SAPI - Dictation Mode is therefore not available with non-SAPI speech platforms.

You can check out the 'Say something with text to speech' action under the Sounds> action menu when creating a command.
