RPG delay
« on: November 26, 2023, 08:18:27 AM »
Hi.
I see there are delay topics, but perhaps there is a quick way around this issue.
I play RPG games. I can no longer use my left hand after invasive brain surgery.
Voice attack seems to be a good start for those extra buttons needed on the keyboard.
When I say "shoot", there is a short delay, which is not completely unexpected.

Does anyone know how to minimize this delay or "lag", or point me to an existing thread about this?

Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you

Thank you millions.
That already makes a good difference.
One more question. Would a desktop mike (like for streaming and stuff), be better than a headset?

A (USB) headset is generally recommended.

That's not to say you can't experiment to see what works best for you, but a headset does tend to be the safest option.

Headphones (either as part of a headset or separate), rather than speakers, are obviously strongly recommended regardless.
