Need to restart Voice Attack for it to work

Hi, often Voice Attack doesn't work for me until I restart the application. Has anyone else encountered this? I'm running version 1.5.12 on Windows 10 64 bit.

Under normal circumstances, you wouldn't need to restart VA.  Are you running any plugins or are you using any profiles that may have ill-behaved commands?

Something you might want to try is redoing your speech profile:  http://voiceattack.com/smf/index.php?topic=64.0 (ignore the title).

You might also want to scan your system for corrupt or missing files:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833
I do this regularly, just to make sure things are still working right.

Not that I can think of. I'm only using VoiceAttack to control my media player (pause, rewind, etc.) since I listen to podcasts while walking around with a wireless headset.

Thanks, I've just done both, I'll see how it goes I guess. The problem hasn't been consistent so I'll test for a while before posting back.
