Automate printing
« on: January 07, 2023, 02:49:52 AM »
Is there an easy way to use a command, and have it print X pages from a file to a printer?

I have a two page file, and I am trying to only print the first page, as the second page is just instructions on how to fill out the first page, so waste.

Depending on where I am going,  I change files, as they are already filled out with everything except the days date, so was going to try to automate it opening file, tab into those boxes, paste in the date, and then print

Are you referring to printing from a specific application?

There is a "print" command line tool built-into Windows, however that's ancient and intended for text files (which have no concept of "pages")

What you're asking is only very tangentially related to VoiceAttack itself...

Sumatra PDF should be able to do what you're looking for with the right command line options.

VoiceAttack can launch that using the "Run an Application" action.
