Listening suspended

Lots of threads on this, but apparently no resolution.

Anyone have a clue?

Are you running the third-party "VAICOM" plugin?

Yes, but the problem remains even when that isn't running.

[Edit: having checked, if the Vaicom plugin is disabled VA works fine.  Switching to a 'non-Vaicom' profile on the other hand doesn't solve the problem.]

Many people seem to be having this problem for years.  Kind of obviates the whole point of Vaicom.

Unfortunately that is indeed an issue a number of users have reported with that third-party plugin.

The plugin is instructing VoiceAttack to suspend listening, irrespective of the current active profile.

There may be a setting within the plugin's custom configuration window(s) that affects this; you'll want to ask the author of the plugin about that.

Their support page lists a thread on the Eagle Dynamics forums, and an email address.

There is an unofficial, community-run Discord as well, which may be able to assist with certain issues.

Thanks for chipping in.  I've seen those threads, but there is scant help to be found on this issue.

I have contacted the author, but still await a response.  This is strange since many people seem to have the same issue and it has been going on for some time.  Maybe he/she has other issues that prevent them attending to this.

It's a pity though , since Vaicom was such a good idea and a lot of work has obviously gone into it.  But for the present it appears to be fubar.
