Running a plugin in trial version
« on: July 01, 2020, 08:45:27 AM »
Hi,

I created a plugin for falcon BMS and I am at the testing phase.
When I published it in the BMS forum I wrote that a full version is required but I recently found out that using the trial version is possible as well.
Now, before I go on and tell people about it I wanted to know if this is ok.
(I tried to send this as a private message but was blocked...)

I purchased the full version of course but you may have not planned for this when you allowed for a free version with only 20 commands.
My plugin has only 5 commands, but each of these can contain hundreds of spoken phrases.

Is this still ok and not an exploit of the free version?

Hi, Dan - that's fine.  What you need to understand is that there is no free version of VoiceAttack but rather a trial version which ultimately expires.  I also wouldn't advise distributing your profile with more than 20 commands total, as future trial versions may not allow dynamic commands beyond the 20-command maximum.

Hope that helps!

Yes thank you.
I'll keep the requirement for full version.
