Open apps with user name and password
« on: October 11, 2019, 06:59:13 AM »
Hi,

I'm not sure what the process is called. I read about "quick input" but I do not know if this applies

I would like to be able to open a application and either login or then to input the user name and password into the field.

Shortcut or voice command etc.

Please advise

Thanks

Yeah, Quick Input is a good and quick way to do that, or set the command to copy the username or password to the clipboard, and hit CTRL+V.

For logging in and passwords, I'd advise using a proper password manager (there are a few available, you'll have to read up on the pros and cons yourself).

I lieu of that, at the very least make sure that if you're going to paste a password, to clear the clipboard afterward, so you don't accidentally paste it somewhere else manually.

Do not script user ID's and Passwords. Instead use a password manager with integrations in to the browser. I use KeePass, it has been around forever and has a lot of plugins.
