Not all plugins load
« on: September 10, 2019, 03:35:09 PM »
Hi there,

I tried to activate a new plugin today (OperationIda) next to EDDI and HCS Tools and noticed that OperationIda did not load.

First i tried to disable the two detected plugins in the plugin manager but no avail. After reading the documentation on the scraper moved the old working plugins to a subfolder starting with a Z hoping it would try to load the new plugin and that worked.

Steps to reproduce:
In VA (v1.7.8 ) apps folder: Install HCS Plugin (3.3.1), Install EDDI (v3.4.3)
Start VA, both plugins load.

Install OperationIda and restart VA: HCS and EDDI load. No error on Ida.
Move HCS and EDDI plugin to subfolder starting with Z: Ida and HCS load.
Uninstall EDDI and leave plugins in Apps folder: HCS and Ida both load.

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Did you copy any code from EDDI's repository?

The reason I ask is because the plugin's ID must be unique.

The "Operation Ida" plugin has been reported as having an issue with not loading/initializing, though not specifically in combination with other plugins.

You may need to wait for the author to update this plugin.

EDIT: Apparently the author has now determined there could be a conflict with EDDI.
