Voice attack not recognized by Star Citizen
« on: December 12, 2018, 01:31:32 PM »
I’ve installed VA and the HCS profile Kate. I set it up in the advanced option in Star Citizen but when I get in game there’s no response. It doesn’t seem to be working at all. Please help. I’ve spent hours trying to figure this out!

What exactly isn't working, Reece?

I’ve installed both programs but when I get into the game there is no response to any of my commands. I can’t get the “Kate” HCS profile to react in any way.
When I open VA it shows Star Citizen Kate 2.6-full house and it recognizes commands but in game nothing.

We updated just today the voicepacks. you can use your existing download link to get the new voicepack, and then it will be a case of fresh install, with both the install.exe and installHCSTools.exe

Profile to be imported will be located in the VoiceAttack\Sounds\HCSTools\Profile folder and is called "Event Horizon"

if you are getting no sounds playing at all then can you check that the audio settings in VA are set to integrated components
The Singularity profile - One profile to rule them all and at HCS we bound them ;)

You see, TheThingIs, eventually you'll be allright.

It is set to integrated components.
I have my headset selected under override default play back
Override default txt to speech- set to my headset
Set windows default audio playback and recording device is set to my headset
Are these settings correct?
I also keep getting these errors
8:48:53 PM - Error initializing sound - 'C:\Program Files (x86)\VoiceAttack\Sounds\hcspack-Kate\Power Management\Reinforcing shield.wav' : Audio stream did not load in a timely manner.
What does this mean?

That error most likely means the file doesn't exist at that location. Have you verified that the voice pack is installed and configured correctly?

Reece, you must be using an old version of the profile...we switched to using .mp3 files almost a year ago

How could I be using the old version, I just downloaded it today? When I check for updatess it says its up to date. Are you refering to the HCS profile being old?

I think at this point I’m going to uninstall and reinstall VA and the HCS profile.
