Hey guys,

I've bought Voice Attack for my Elite:Dangerous game and just for that (steam version).
However I have a hard time trying to configure it so it can recognise ANY sound at all.
First of all I checked almost known for me destinations which explain all the main problems that people had.

Some of it was about the mic. I have Blue Snowball mic which is a plug and play device, so no worries on that.
System see it as active microphone, so this thing I consider as "CHECKED".

Now with the hard part, there is a pattern that all must follow, which is going to Control Panel,
Voice Recognition and there is nothing in there, because my Windows Version is Polish, and there are no
other ways to switch it to different language, so the voice engine could work with.

I did install them anyway, few of them - but of course there are no ways of using it.

I can only go for "Text for speech" option, where it shows me that all I can use is Microsoft Anna:

It does not work, cause software does not see it inside. Just where "Speech Engine" is set on System Default,
there is no other option for pick.

When I try to set it from "Utilities" option, all I get is some kind of crash?

I've done the "alternate" way process from Voice Attack website as well... guess what, nothing changed.
So I slowly run out of hope this ever gonna work. I know this system is kind of old etc. but I don't think
my patience will hold for that long.
Maybe U guys have any suggestions what to do more about it?

My system details:

If there's any info I could provide for U to get this right, please tell and I'll post it ASAP.

A quick search of how to get around this limitation brought me to Vistalizator. Apparently this tool allows the installation of another language pack (which should also include the speech recognition for that language as well).

This looks like it might be the tool for you.

Thanks Grangel for quick response.

I've seen this software while I was searching for an answer and I don't trust this software enough to install it.
All I'm installing to my PC must be made by known company. This is just a big question mark.

Then unfortunately there is no way around it. It is a built in limitation of the OS. TO be honest, I am not sure that installing a 3rd party speech recognition engine (like Dragon Naturally speaking for example) would work in this case.
