Recording Key Presses not totally accurate

I'm trying to make a huge macro where I can automatically control my vehicle in GTA. It seems that the keypresses are not completely accurate. I always start in the same place, yet when I run the big macro, I end up in a different spot every time, which leads me to believe the playback of the keys are not totally accurate. Has anyone else experienced this?

Although it's not going to be millisecond-perfect, the timings in VoiceAttack are pretty close.  It's going to boil down to the hardware that you're running on, the app you are using and the other software in your environment.  Also, most games run on a polling mechanism for detecting key state, so there is going to be a huge timing offset there as well.
