How to use VoiceAttack With Oculus Controller Trackpad
« on: September 29, 2017, 04:59:45 PM »
Hi everyone,

Just got VA for the first time! The first thing I want to do is use it to replace my trackpad on my oculus touch controllers in a game.

Basically have a command for up, down, left, right.

How can I do this?

Thanks!

Whether this is possible depends on how the Oculus controller interfaces with games.

If they're using a custom API for that(which I believe is the case), you can't emulate the touch pad or other inputs; Not without writing custom software to either intercept the API calls and modify them, or a driver that pretends to be Oculus hardware. Neither option is feasible, really.

If, on the other hand, games allow you to map the touchpad actions to keyboard keys or even mouse movements, that can easily be simulated by VoiceAttack.
