Hello,

is possible to affect a speech engine to a profile ?

it could be very interesting the speech engine depend to profile and not the entire application...
Because the user must change speech engine when he change for a different profile.

And we can affect a diffent voice per profile for TextToSpeech...

Are you referring to the "Recognition Profiles"? Or the actual speech recognition engine?

What do you want to switch exactly? Language? Recognition Environment? Dictionary words?

And we can affect a diffent voice per profile for TextToSpeech...

You can't set it per profile at the moment, however each individual "Say Something with Text-To-Speech" action can be set to a different TTS engine.


If you want to make a formal request for a feature, I recommend compiling a clear and thorough requirement and posting it in the "Feature Requests" section.

Hello Pfeil,
i think it could be interesting to can choose Recognition Speech engine for each profile, and not in global parameters.

Why ? An example, i make copilots profiles for differents planes in XPlane and some are with french commands language, others are in english commands language.
It's for this reason, i would affect speech engine for each profile.

It's sure english commands are more understand by computer with english engine and french commands with french engine.

I hope my explanations are clear.

If it's not possible at this moment, i will post in Request Features section...

I understand. Currently, the speech engine setting is not only global(I.E. across all profiles), but requires you to restart VoiceAttack.
