Unable to determine training status

Hello,
I installed VoiceAttack, enabled voice recognition, and ran the training sessions. Even though I've run the training sessions 10 times, it still displays "unable to determine training status."

I tried creating another profile, and I still have the same problem even though I've run the training sessions several times.

Just for background information: click the wrench icon on VoiceAttack's main window, and on the "General" tab of the VoiceAttack options window click "System info >", choose "Generate Settings Summary", then "Write to File"; Save the file and upload it here (attach it to a post).

I think there might be an issue with the way this value is being presented.  I will have a look at it and if I can pinpoint what it is, the fix will be in the next update.

For now, just ignore what it is saying.

I can confirm seeing the same issue - went through voice training 3 times  ;D

I'm getting the same issue today. All was working fine after installing v2.

Today, I tried to boost my mic into VA using VoiceMeeter Banana, my HyperX headset mic doesn't register very high in VA. That seemed good at first but now I'm seeing the [Unable to determine training status] message, so VA is not seeing anything I say. The speech bubble icon appears but no text appears in the output window. I've gone back to setting the mic direct in VA.

Just ran my old install of V1 and speech is working.

I have determined that the 'unable to determine training status' verbiage is glitched.  The latest beta versions of VA correct this.

Do you happen to have the settings export for v1?  Might be good to compare.

I'm not seeing anything vastly different between setups.  There are some discrepancies on the 'Recognition' tab, but probably not enough to cause issue.  The only thing that stands out is that in v1, you have the, 'Prevent the speech engine from changing the mic volume' option checked (on the System/Advanced tab).  You can try changing that to see if it makes a difference.  If it does make a difference, this may be a case where you would want to blow away your current speech training profile and create a new one as the speech engine is trying to compensate for a hot microphone that was present during training.  Let me know if that makes a difference.

It is very strange. I seem to have messed things up trying to boost my mic input.

I've created a new Speech profile and ran one pass of training. Unfortunately, VA still reports the same error for my new profile.

You'll want to ignore that message, as the verbiage has a bug.  If you want, you can get the latest version 2 beta and that error message will not be displayed.

I can try the beta, but regardless of the verbiage of the message, v2 isn't recognising any words from me, unlike V1.

Gotcha - I made the assumption from your previous message that you had gotten everything squared away (aside from the message), as it mentioned doing a new training but not that the speech recognition was still acting up.

Did you try changing the settings in the Recognition tab to match v1?  These settings would be the only differences between the two apps in regards to configuring the speech engine.

Even stranger, no other changes and it's working today using my new single run training. Computers!!!  8)

I restarted a couple of times yesterday and my PC is shutdown overnight. It's a mystery. But thanks for your help.
