VA and Java
« on: February 12, 2023, 03:38:05 PM »
Hello VA Community!

Firstly I'd like to say thanks to the community and creators of VA.

I've found many an answer lurking these forums.
VA has been a game changer for me with all things related to PC use.

On to the question;

I'm currently doing a clean up on my PC and want to remove JavaScript SE 8. Can I remove this with out affecting my VA Use?

I have come across posts where code has been used (C# I believe) for some use cases and want to make sure I don't break my VA use. (Can't live with out it!) I currently have not used any scripts/code for  my setup but may in the future.

Thanks in advanced!

VoiceAttack does not utilize Java, nor JavaScript (which are, despite the name, completely different and separate languages/products; you likely have Java SE 8).

Removing such products should not affect VoiceAttack itself, but could of course affect any applications on your machine that do utilize them.
