No mic or not listening

Hi,
Just installed 1.8.5 and I'm not getting any listening to Samson Go Mic

I can create a hotkey command to change defaults from headset recording device and playback and VA works with that. However, changing to desktop Samson Go Mic with speakers does not allow the mic to work for some reason.
