HCS Plugin.start' is denied error

I have been getting an error message spamming the heck out of Voice Attack 1.8.5.  The full version is voice attack access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\VoiceAttack\Apps\HCS Voice Pack Plugins\HCS Plugin.start' is denied and actually is one of two related error messages.  I am using VA for Elite Dangerous and when I start out everything seems to be okay, until the first command.  At that point VA slows way down, the responses are disjointed to the events, and ship menu panes and actions are not accessed correctly.  At time nothing happens at all.  When I quit Elite and shut off my microphone, the error messages continue to spam the VA interface.

The last change that occurred to VA was my signing up for Ad-Astra and the subsequent updates to tools and so on.  Does anyone have any idea what is going on and ideas how I can fix this?
