Single command to Multiple Windows
« on: November 07, 2018, 12:16:58 PM »
I have returned to playing an MMO and play two instances of the same game at once.

Both game windows have the same name (running from two different HDD).

Is there a way to have one spoken command activate on BOTH windows?

Voice Attack only lists one of the two windows and sends all the commands to the first window version only.

If voice attack cant handle it, is there a way of renaming a program window so that voice attack will see them as two different programs?

Any help gratefully appreciated.

The action "Windows -> Perform a Window Function -> Change Title" will allow you to change the title of one (or both) of the instances, and then you can send the actions to both windows from the same command. A loop with some IF blocks would help minimize action duplication within the command.

Thanks for your swift reply.

Is the "Windows -> Perform a Window Function -> Change Title" a function in Voice Attack or Windows 10?

That is the UI chain to reach the action you're looking for within VA's environment:

More specifically: Other -> Windows -> Perform a Window Function -> Change Title

Happy hunting!  :)

this is what I'm trying to do....
I have one command that goes to a windows app and another that goes to the game I am running.
When I say, Magnifier off (this command goes to the window app) but I also need that same command to send the keyboard letter 'P' to the game. I think the answer is here, but I don't know what to do with the information that is posted here.

Thanks in advance

Do the Windows application and the game you intend to interact with have the same window title?

Which Windows application and which game are you referring to, specifically?
