Muting sound when listening
« on: April 05, 2018, 03:05:21 AM »
I am using a hotas, and a have a key mapped to make VA listen when I have the key pressed. This works well when I am using a headset, but is there a way to get VA to either mute or lower the volume from the speakers when I have that key pressed so I can more easily get VA to hear me when using a desktop mic?

Yup, I use a desktop mic as well, and made a command for this issue.

What it does is, it saves you speaker volume settings, then drops the audio of your speaker to 1, as long as you hold the button, and when you let go, it restores the volume to where you had it. It's works great!

I use the F22 as my key, but you can change it.

I've attached the profile below.

Now had a chance to give it a go. Modified so it that it turns down the master volume and mutes Windows Media Player.

Very simple bit of code. Thanks for your help.
