Failing to import profile
« on: January 07, 2018, 05:42:56 PM »
Running VoiceAttack purchased from Steam..

Installing a prebuild profile from HSC and I get the following error. Its been said in the past to update VA to solve this, but with Steam there is no way to not be updated!

What that is indicating is that there is problem reading the data from the profile you are trying to import.  Was the file edited in any way?

What version of VA are you running?  It's possible the version of VA you are using is too early for the version of the file you are trying to import.

I figured it out actually. Thanks for the fast response. The problem was actually that Steam installs to a non-default location. So all of the sound files are missing. Found a post somewhere else specifically pointing out the flaw, and the solution.

It's a bit of a combined issue with the Steam install AND the HSC voice pack install process. Once I copied the two folders over to the to PROPER locations everything works fine!
 Again... Thanks for the response!
