Adaptive Recognition and Noisy Environments
« on: June 21, 2017, 12:44:04 PM »
I have a "noisy" environment: the TV is always on.  In summer there's an air conditioner or fan going.  I usually have the mic turned off, using the "Override listening if my spoken command begins with:" feature, but now I have reason to NOT do this.  Will this cause issues with my voice training?  I get very few "false" positives, so I'm not too worried about the TV accidentally triggering commands, yet, but I'm worried that having it always listening will compromise recognition.  Any thoughts?  Should I have "Disable Adaptive Recognition" checked?  Would there be other issues?
Thanks for the advice!

Disable adaptive recognition will help with your noisy environment, however, the speech engine, 'learns' over time.  From what I recall that will prevent it from, 'learning', but, in your case it will help it to not learn in a poor way.

Sounds as if you are agreeing that I should have adaptive recognition disabled.  Thank you.
