Preserve log entries on profile switch

Would it be possible to add an option to preserve log entries on profile switches?
Automatic profile switching wipes out logs that could be useful for debugging.

Probably not much reason to actually clear the log anyway, you know?

now that you mention it, would it make more sense to have an option to clear the log as it does right now but keep the log by default?
