Elite Dangerous VA: some tags don't work

I'm fairly new to VA, but on the whole, it has been working well for me. Discovering the plugin EliteVA for Elite Dangerous was great...

However, As a "for instance", I have "`" assigned to the "Set Thrust to 0%" command in the game configs and it works every time.

When I set the Voice Attack command "all stop" to PressKey "`" it also works properly.

But, when I set it to Press variable key(s) [EliteAPI.SetSpeedZero] and hold for 0.3 seconds and release
it fails to stop.

I'm thinking that I need to ask these questions in the EliteVA support and if possible, I will do so. But if anyone knows why this is happening, please let me know.

Yes, this would be something you'd contact the author of the profile/plugin you are using.  This is nothing to do with VoiceAttack, which is merely the framework that this profile/plugin utilizes.  Personally, I use BindED - never had any issues with it... the fork by alterNERDtive monitors the ED keyfile for changes, and updates the keypress variables automagically behind the scenes.
