Dynamic Command issue
« on: December 10, 2024, 12:48:12 PM »
I have this dynamic command:
"[aspen;chaos;cylon;dragon;gunfighter;nightmare][11..14;21..24;][roger;roger wilco;]"

and I get this error (see image) - BUT if I remove the last ";" of the optional end [ ] , the error does NOT come up and saves normally?
Happens to all of my Dynamic Commands with an Optional last bracketed phrases [... ;] ?

Have you checked your profile to make sure there are no other commands with that phrase?

If so, export your profile and attach it to a post here, so it can be investigated further.

The phrase does exist in other commands within the same Profile. However, why does the Dynamic Command line work when I remove the last semi-colon making the last bracket set "non-optional", and does NOT work with the semi-colon when I want it to be Optional?

Because without the semicolon at the end, the phrase "aspen 11" would not be generated.

When you're confused about which phrases your input in the "When I say" field will generate, this command can help provide clarity.

Thanks for the info.

What would be a better / more efficient way to implement every command in the same profile to be listening for a certain phrase of multiple callsigns ( [aspen;chaos;cylon;dragon;gunfighter;nightmare][1..4;11..14;21..24;] ) without having to copy/paste the whole string into each and every command's "When I say" block?  I couldn't really find anything like this in the .pdf file (manual)
