registering issues
« on: November 21, 2024, 09:01:04 PM »
I got the voice attack for Elite Dangerois but when I go to my options in ED Voice attack isnt there then I noice it says it doesnt work with trial version which I didnt know when I bought it so I bought the full version. I run the program with my new regestration key copies from the email and it says enter a valid registration key. Humm........ Ive tried several times and even re-installed he program so, after reading further it says: launch voice attack and in the options menue regester with my email address and the regestration key BUT it will not allow mw to type the whole thing in so I am back to square one again. Iv'e been after this not for about several hours and all I want to do is play the da#$ game already. I suffer from a violent crime against me and had a massive head injury soo things take a little longer to get donr but GEEZ I never thought registering a program would take this much. I am just frutrated, I hope you understand. I will keep checking back here for a solution and keep trying....reading..trying...etc.
Thanks for reading and to those who give me a hand, I say Thank You very much.

Normally registration is very simple, as there's really not much to it.   I looked in the validation logs for your email address and/or the registration key that you have on record, and I'm not seeing any validation requests that match.  I also looked to see if there was an IP address that might match the address from which you are posting this message, and I also did not see anything.  On a side note, the most current versions of VoiceAttack do not require you to put in your email address at all, so, I'm kind of at a loss as to what you may be doing.

Could you share a screenshot of what you are looking at?

If posting images in here is not clear, you can always come over to the VoiceAttack Discord server (might even be faster):  https://voiceattack.com/Discord

When you say no validation requests? WhT do you mean in that note? As in I haven't tried to register? When I start voice attack i go to the registration tab. I put in the  registration key I was sent via email and it comes back with invalid registration key. I'm going to converse thru private messaging if I may to get to the bottom of this for me

It would seem I can not direct message you with sensitive email information voiceattack sent me I.E. x b registration key etc because you have blocked my messages from coming thru. Maybe it is an umbrella block where you just don't accept messages thru the forum? hopefully that's the case. Should I post the emails here for God and everyone to read with the key in print or should I fudge the key numbers (add Astrix etc)

I removed your post containing the link to the screenshot of your registration key. That should be kept private.

The screenshot did show that you've copied a whitespace character at the beginning of the key, which would mean it's not a valid license key.

Make sure you only copy the visible characters.

Well there is nothing like something like this simple fix to make you feel like a complete moron in the early afternoon. I never thought that would have caused the issue.
I appologize posting that to the thread taking it down straight away was quick thinking on your part and quite short on mine. From now on I will keep that private 100%. Again I appologize for the mishap.
I truly want to thank you for your time in helping me out with this. It is safe to say, you have solved my problem. Thank you thank you very much. Perhaps this thread will help someone else who is having the same issue as I was,
  Again, Thank you VERY much.
