JOYSTICK not recognized at all

Hi, I am back on Voice Attack board after a while and cannot define Joystick Global Hotkey.
Did try run VA in admin; unplugged all Joys except one; no button on Joy pressed; 
 "OK" on "Select Global Listening Joystick Button" remains gray and pressing any button on joy does nothing. See the attachment.

Have you assigned your joystick device to a joystick slot (using the "Joystick Options", on the "General" tab of the VoiceAttack options window)?

eh, sorry for my ignorance, helped. Thanks! :-)
actually, joy was assigned but with different PID, probably as it was done in deep history, so reassignment was the cure
