Can't connect to server

when I launch VA it tells me that it can't connect to server

is the server down?

this just started yesterday.

Thank you for the heads up.  I'm actually having a bit of trouble with the host provider at the moment.  They are looking into it.

In the meantime, if that message is bugging you, you can turn it off by going into Options and uncheck the box labeled, 'Check for Updates on Startup'. 

Sorry about that - hopefully they'll have a resolution shortly.
