I get the following message after I registered it (didn't have that message previously).
Any idea how to correct this?

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

This occurs every time you start VoiceAttack?

Have you restarted (using the "Restart" option in the Windows start menu; not by shutting down and powering back on) your machine?

If you move the files in %Appdata%\VoiceAttack to a safe location (E.G. your desktop), does that make a difference?

Yes, I've restarted the computer, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Voice Attack, and it keeps happening. I'm not sure how to redirect the program to use appdata elsewhere though, so I haven't tried that.

Additionally, sometimes it will run if I ignore the error, but it typically crashes shortly afterwards.

You can temporarily move the files out of that directory, just like you'd move normal files.

If you're unsure on how to get to that location:
Hold the Windows key on your keyboard and press the R key. After releasing both keys, paste
Code: [Select]
%Appdata%\VoiceAttackinto the "Open:" field, then click "OK".

I did that, it required I re-register, but otherwise didn't change anything.

I went to the event viewer and it seems to be a NTDLL.dll error happening with the program for some reason. I've checked windows is fully up to date and the drivers are up to date. Windows 11 home, 22H2

If you moved the files in %Appdata%\VoiceAttack, you should not have been asked to re-register.

If you moved the files in %localappdata%\VoiceAttack.com, however, that would have required re-registration.

Make sure you moved the files in %Appdata%\VoiceAttack, specifically. There should be "Backup" folder, a "VoiceAttack.dat" file, and possibly a "VAEffects.dat" file.

I moved that folder (was under roaming instead of local), and I didn't have to re-register. It still pulled up the same error however.

If you hold the Ctrl and Shift keys on your keyboard (one of each), and after releasing them check all of the options that start with "Disable" on the "VoiceAtttack Load Options", then click "OK", does that make a difference?

Just as a check, if you remove the contents of %localappdata%\VoiceAttack.com and require VoiceAttack to run in unregistered (trial) mode, does the error still persist?

If so, when you uninstalled/reinstalled, did you re-download the app or did you just run the installer again?  I would try re-downloading the installer and see if that helps.

If that does not help, you'll want to run a system file scan on your machine, as it would most likely be a component that VoiceAttack depends on is either not installed properly or is corrupt: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files-79aa86cb-ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e
Make sure to perform both the DISM as well as the sfc steps.  This is good to do from time to time, even if you do not perceive an issue with your setup.

Let me know if any of that helps!

-EDIT-  Follow what Pfeil had indicated in the previous post first.
