Using Voice Attack on other than english Windows
« on: May 21, 2016, 09:15:45 AM »
Hello people,

I have been using voice attack these last couple of days and i'am very pleased with it so far, it is quite smart and i can see that it is learning to listen to me rather quickly.

However, there are certain shortcomings due to the fact that my Windows 7 is the German version (and i can't install another language package). VA still works very well in spite of, but some things simply don't work, especially numbers.
It seems that this could be fixed by changing the spelling of said words/numbers(e.g. "1" to "one"), but then there are already very good and comprehensive profiles for most games, and re-writing them might take a lot of time, that is why i seek advice on this forum.

Does anyone have experience with the same problem? If so what did you do? Will VA/Windows learn it eventually just from listening?

Any ideas how to work around that problem?

Is there a way to speed up learning of VA/ W voice recognition apart from simply using them?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Nevermind, i managed to install an english speech engine after all and it's better now.

If you have trouble installing another language package in Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional try
