VA version 1.8.7.15
Windows 10 20h2 x64 - 19042.985

Both: {STATE_ENV:ProgramFiles} & {STATE_ENV:ProgramFiles(x86)}
Outputs: C:\Program Files (x86)

Starting command-prompt> CMD (also as administrator), both output:
ProgramFiles=C:\Program Files
ProgramFiles(x86)=C:\Program Files (x86)

Looking at Control-panel > Environment Variables (GUI), there are none in the lists.
Might be set by default.
Verified issue in separate profiles and on another computer.

You are running a 32bit version of VoiceAttack, which means Windows automatically redirects it to use the " (x86)" folder, as is normal for 32bit applications.

This is a function of WoW64
