Looking for some software...
« on: August 10, 2016, 02:09:05 PM »
...I have headphones, speakers and two mics. Is there any software that will save the selcetion of active devices as a profile, then let me switch between them with a keypress?

ie;
mic1 and speakers press 1
mic2 and speakers press 2
mic1 and headphones press 3
mic2 and headphones press 4

...which of course I could then automate through voice attack

...because to bee honest going into that hardware control panel is a royal pain in the arse...especially when in VR...

...does such a thing exist?

VoiceAttack beta v1.5.12.2 has multiple features for switching audio devices on the fly, and as luck would have it, it came out two days ago.

Lol... funny you should ask o_O

The VoiceAttack beta allows for switching of the default playback and recording device that Windows uses:

http://www.voiceattack.com/beta

You can now switch the devices on startup, by command or by command line parameter (for batch files, desktop shortcuts or launchers like SlickRun).

Please let me know how it goes if you try it out (it's beta).
