unable to use a microphone from a webcam
« on: March 12, 2021, 01:35:48 PM »
Hello,

I use a soundcard onboard from my Asus motherboard, and I want to use a microphone from my webcam, but when I try to test it there is no detection what so ever, the microphone from my webcam works fine when I use it for Whatsapp, skype, see the attachment about the setting in VA, can anyone tell me how to fix this? thanks.

What is the "Windows Speech Recording Device" option on the "Recognition" tab of the VoiceAttack options window set to?

Do note that non head-mounted microphones tend to be less suited to speech recognition.

it was Realtek(R) Audio and I change to my webcam microphone and I restart the VA but still does not detect  any sound.

Have you tried enabling the "Disable Acoustic Echo Cancellation (could help with recognition)" option, as mentioned in this topic?
