Voice attack not recognizing voice input

I have the latest version of Voice Attack with the HCS Tools, ALIX, Astra and Celeste voicepacks all installed. It all installed ok and it seems to all be working fine except no matter what I say it says "Unrecognized : 'whatever I say'"
In the profile window it shows that it has loaded the HCS Event Horizon (SC) beta loaded. My microphone is working, Windows speech is working but not VA. What am I missing?

You'll want to take a look at this thread, as it has helped a lot of folks resolve many speech engine-related issues:  https://forum.voiceattack.com/smf/index.php?topic=1635.0

You'll also want to make a brand new profile with some basic commands to make sure that something in your loaded profile isn't borked up or misconfigured.
