voice recognition issues after formatting

so VA was working for me pretty good in the last year or so. all commands were recognized 90% of the times or even more.
after a recent upgrade and format of win10, the recognition almost stopped completely from working.
I calibrated the input mic, trained the windows recognition speech engine, but VA is still utterly useless.

any suggestions as to why and how could I fix it?

Both the "VoiceAttack does not listen to what I am saying at all" and the "VoiceAttack is listening, but what it hears is complete gibberish compared to what I said" may be relevant. Definitely try the two edits in the former.
