Installation for all users
« on: February 21, 2019, 09:23:02 AM »
Hi,

Last week I installed Voice Attack and then registered it and then created a profile.
Today I have logged in to the same machine as a different user. When I start Voice Attack a) the Registration page still pops up and b) I do not see the profile I made and it is not possible to import it.
I know some software installers ask if you want to install for the Current User only but I cant recall having selected such a setting during installation by mistake. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Adrian

Hi, there.

VoiceAttack's installer is single-user only, unfortunately.  If you install for multiple users, you'll need to register the software for each user (which is perfectly fine, license-wise).  If you need to share profiles between users on your pc, search for the -datadir command line parameter within the VA help document.

Hope that helps!
