I've been using the microphone array on my Kinect 360 as audio input to my PC for a little while now. This has worked so far, but I recognize that there is much room for improvement in terms of (most importantly) sound quality and (to a lesser extent) desktop aesthetics as well as cable complexity. I also use a ModMic 4 with my headphones (which works great), but I definitely want to have a second microphone configuration that doesn't require headphones.
So I'm looking for a desktop microphone that will reliably pick up my voice from 2+ feet away. Webcams with integrated mics are fair game here. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!
