Is it possible to get alerted when closing in on targeted stellar object when supercruising?

Not directly, but it might be possible to have VA through a plugin or other outside program routinely look at the player journal log for certain entries that give that data, and when it falls below a certain value notify you. The manual for what's in that log is found here. The "ApproachBody" entry might work. Maybe some other 3rd party VA tools do something like this already?
