How to control media player/media keys?
« on: January 23, 2018, 09:40:22 AM »
Hey guys.

Got Elite in early Jan, then a Rift and now HOTAS... stuff has escalated quickly.

Voice attack next!

I've been messing with the trial and managed to get a few things working but would love to be able to do a lot more.

Before I purchase I want to try and see if I can control Google Music on Chrome via Voice Attack. I can currently control it with my keyboard media keys.

I only want to be able to Play/Pause, Skip and maybe Volume.
Is it possible on Voice Attack, if so could I be pointed in the right direction?

yes it is. Any music player that accepts the global media keys you can control. VLC doesn't by default but you can enable the keys in it's settings and off you go.

All you do is press the specific keys for the controls:

Key_Mute;173
Key_VolumeDown;174
Key_VolumeUp;175
Key_NextTrack;176
Key_PrevTrack;177
Key_MediaStop;178
Key_Stop;178
Key_PlayPause;179
