Speech to text

Hi I just purchased VA to use in Warthunder while in VR, as it's too difficult to put aside my controllers and find the keyboard and type whilst flying an aircraft.
I was told that I can use it for speech to text in the beta version but I can't seem to work out how.

Have I been misinformed or am I missing something?

Can anybody help please?

Only in that you don't actually need a beta version to use it. Dictation/text-to-speech has been a VoiceAttack feature for quite a few years.

Thanks so much I'm not any good at programming so I couldn't work it out. I did do a search on "speech to text" but didn't find that topic.
