Not working for mechwarrior online

So i make a profile and i get it voice attack to work in chat after loading in and going to chat I say fire and np I see that it types a 1. then when I go into play a game or go to testing grounds....it does nothing. anyone else have this problem.

Have you tried some of these steps?

In particular, running as admin and making sure the key holddown time is long enough.

The chat feature may respond differently than regular input, especially if the gameplay loop isn't running in the background.
