Physical vs. Virtual Key Down State
« on: July 05, 2017, 10:14:13 AM »
I like the new state tokens (e.g., {STATE_ANYKEYDOWN}) and the control possibilities they provide. During my testing of {STATE_ANYKEYDOWN} I noticed that the token does not discern between physical keyboard input and virtual VA input. It would be great if VA could separately detect physical key presses as well as virtual key presses.

I have also thought of making this request, as it would enable the use of a "Turbo" mode like console controllers had/have where pressing a key will pulse it quicker than a human can.

That'd really be a help with many of the console ports that barely adapt the control scheme to PC, and the developers that seem to think mashing the same button(s) repeatedly makes for good gameplay.
