Scroll with the Mouse default values
« on: June 10, 2016, 06:04:30 PM »
Not sure if this would be considered a feature request, rather than an issue:

In the "Add a Mouse Action" dialog, under the "Click / Scroll" tab, in the "Scroll with the Mouse" section, the NumericUpDown controls default to a value of zero.

I feel it makes sense to have them start at 1 instead, and as they don't go negative, I would even argue 0 could be dropped altogether(unless there is a technical reason to scroll the mousewheel zero times).

Not sure if I would call it an issue, other than maybe a usability issue.  Although it's really nothing to make the default, '1' instead of, '0', another idea would be to make it persist the last state.  Then again, it's probably seen the least amount of use of the mouse functions.

Yeah, I realize it's very minor, more of a "dotting the I's" thing. Just figured it'd be worth adding to the list of "if I'm ever out of more important stuff to do".

Indeed, when creating a new mouse move/click action, the values are no longer 0(though that value is still available).

I did notice the following:

It only saves the used value; If scroll up and scroll down are both changed, only the one that has its radio button checked at the end will be saved(By design perhaps).

When editing an action, both the non-used value and the "Click duration" textbox default to 0(or 00.000, respectively), rather than using the saved value.

The scroll values only persist if the value is set (by design).

I see what's up with the scroll wheel duration.  Over time that interface just kind of migrated away and is actually tied to the duration.  Doh.  You can tell how often I actually use mouse scrolling in macros o_O

My bad...  there is no tie between the duration and scroll clicks.  If you want that level of control, you'll need to add pauses.  The scroll radio buttons are enabling the duration box and they should not be.

I didn't expect that field to actually do anything, to be honest I didn't notice it should've been grayed out.

The main thing is that the values are seemingly incorrect only when editing an already existing action, whereas creating a new one works fine(I suspect it's trying to retrieve them from the existing action itself, rather than using the "last set" values).

Sorry about that, Pfeil... I spaced out on that one.  It wasn't directed at you.  'You' didn't mean you personally (I should have said, 'somebody').

I sorted out the gray boxes, tho ;)

Quick response! I wasn't quite on the edge of my seat waiting for this to get fixed to be honest :P

If the selected action is in the "Mouse Button Down / Up" or "Mouse Click and Double-Click" sections, both numericUpDown controls will still be "0"(When editing only).
