way too End Task on Previous Run app from script?
« on: April 27, 2017, 09:16:50 AM »
So, currently I have something that when I say "start music" it causes a playlist to trigger, starting my music program and that works fine, but.....

I would like to be able to have multiple playlists (.pls), so I thought about using windows built in 'taskkill' but for the life of me i can't get it to work, I've tried it through a script (calling a .bat from Voice Attack) and using TaskKill in the 'windows commands'. When I do the bat script, I have to put it as a shortcut as 'Admin' mode, which causes the UAC window to pop up and without bat script and admin, doesn't seem to endtask.

This spoils the setup when I'm in VR, as I can't see the screen/mouse to click accept.

Any work around or anybody aware of a alternative 3rd party app I can run through Voice Attack to do the same thing?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried VA's, 'Stop a process by name'?

Other>Windows>Stop a Process by Name

Hope that helps!

nope, I hadn't, I have now, and it worked... although I'm guessing I need to re-train the part that recognizing as I've tried 'stop music', 'terminate music', 'stop music player' and they recognize intermittently. But, I'm a step closer. ;)

Thanks.
