Change contrast mode
« on: January 25, 2017, 03:28:25 AM »
I'm trying to set up a command to change the contrast mode, but it doesn't work. the keyboard shortcut to change contrast mode is left shift, left alt, and printscreen.

I've tried.
Sending them in a single command.
Holding each key down, pausing, and releasing the keys.
Current system specs.
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x
GPU: gtx 1080 ti
Ram: 32 GB

Quite a few of the built-in Windows keyboard shortcuts can only be triggered by a physical keyboard(well, by a HID driver presenting as a keyboard), so you can't use software to press them.

A number of these functions are implemented in VoiceAttack as the "Windows Miscellaneous Functions" action(which uses a software function rather than keypresses); Yours isn't in there yet, so I suggest you make a feature request to get it added.

Nircmd by Nirsoft might be able to do what you want. I use it for all sorts of clever stuff that isn't in VA directly yet.

I have seen changebrightness in Nircmd but that is not something I have used myself. Might be worth a look.

They also do other tools that might be handy alnog the same lines.
