Author Topic: Should I "turn off the Windows Speech Recognition application for now?"  (Read 4504 times)

When I launched VoiceAttack it asks me the following question..

"It appears that the Windows Speech Recognition application is running. This may cause conflicts with VoiceAttack. Would you like to turn off the Windows Speech Recognition application for now?"

It wants a Yes or No answer.
What should I do.

PS: I am using this with the HCS Voice Pack for A.S.T.R.A. - which I also installed.

Please advise.

Unless you're actually using Windows Speech Recognition to control your system, feel free to click "Yes".

Windows Speech Recognition is another application using the Microsoft Speech API, but unlike VoiceAttack it is mainly designed to dictate and manipulate text(Word documents for example), and provide what are essentially accessibility options(for people that have trouble with or are unable to use mouse and/or keyboard).
