How to get this Exp: to work?
« on: December 24, 2016, 10:19:31 AM »
This EXP works fine, unless there is a ! in the title.

Code: [Select]
{EXP:'{WINDOWTITLEUNDERMOUSE}' LIKE '*Edit Style*' OR '{WINDOWTITLEUNDERMOUSE}' LIKE '*Developer Tools*'}
So I stripped the ! from the title.

I had VA change the windows title, but the Expression still doesn't work. It works fine with any title that doesn't have a !, but with it, error. Even though I stripped the ! out, you can look at the Title in Task Manager and see that the ! is gone, yet, it still doesn't work.

I even tried setting {WINDOWTITLEUNDERMOUSE} to {TXT:Title}, and it still didn't work. What am I doing wrong????

Code: [Select]
{EXP:'{TXT:Title}' LIKE '*Edit Style*' OR '{TXT:Title}' LIKE '*Developer Tools*'}

Not sure what you mean by "a ! in the title".

I copied your first "{EXP:}" verbatim and put it into a condition, it works fine with window titles like "!!!!Developer Tools!!.txt - Notepad" or "!! Edit Style !!!.txt - Notepad", in v1.6.1.8.

REALLY! Jeez. I don't understand then.

Here's the title, EXCLUSIVE: Dinesh D'Souza speaks for first time after Trump win! - YouTube - Opera

D*mn it, Now I see the '. I overlooked it, because I sit 6 feet from my screen.

I just removed the ' from his name, and now it works just fine. Jeez. 5 hours banging my head against the wall, because I couldn't see the '.

Thanks for the help, I'm going to go relax now. :)
