Registration change from Steam to individual
« on: February 10, 2023, 06:57:54 AM »
Hi Together,

I recently purchased VoiceAttack via Steam. However, I feel better to individually install VA on my PC. Would it be possible to transfer my Steam registration to a regular registration without purchasing the software again?

Thank you very much and nice weekend.

Kind regards

Achim

Hi, Achim

Unfortunately, no - there is no way to port a Steam license for VoiceAttack over to the standalone (website) version of VoiceAttack.

Sorry about that!

Hi Gary,

no worries, I'll first try whether it suits my purpose (controll of a FA-18C in DCS World with VR using Pico 4) and then I may buy the other version.

Thanks for your prompt reply!

Kind regards

If running Steam at the same time as VA is a concern, you can always run VA outside of Steam by launching it from its installed location (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\VoiceAttack).  The only thing to be aware of is you have to run VA at least once with the Steam client active so that VA can pair up with your PC.

Hope that helps!
