What Command (key) is Being Pressed?
« on: May 28, 2022, 12:00:59 PM »
Is there any way to see what Key is being "pressed" when I say a command?  It seems like some of my keybinds are different than what the profile is set to so if I can see what is being "pressed" by VA, I can confirm the profile/keybinds are correct.

If you're referring to a third-party profile, E.G. from HCS Voice Packs, you'll want to contact them about that via their forum, or their Discord.

If the profile you're using can be edited, you can open the edit window for the relevant command and check the keypress actions it uses. If those actions are set to the "Variable Keypress (Advanced)" action, you can use a "Write a Value to the Event Log" combined with the "{TXT:}" token to output the key indicator(s) being used to the log on the main window.

There are also utilities that can display which keys are being pressed on your machine in general, E.G. DIView.
