[FR] If you would consider
« on: August 01, 2020, 03:21:33 AM »
Hello good Sir,

I was wondering if you would consider a plugin outside of gaming and something for musicians and music recording software...OSC (Open Sound Control)

I have enjoyed your software but have longed for the day when I can control my DAW and other music software by using voice commands. Right now I can control maybe 20% of what I want to do in Reaper (my DAW of choice) using keyboard shortcuts, mouse actions and some hacks.  Your software is the closest I've found to being able to do that but with an implementation of OSC messages, I think it would take VoiceAttack to the next level...

VoiceAttack and your Panels plugin is so close to what I'm looking for. The Panels plugin as a UDP Server/Client sending synchronous and asynchronous messages over a local network has shown me that it is possible but it sends messages in the wrong format. One day I set out to read the documentation  :-["VoiceAttack Plugins (for the truly mad)" and take a stab at making a OSC plugin myself but believe me it's taken a couple months to try to wrap my head around the documentation I tried to reverse engineer the Panels .dll and HTML file but can't quite make it work.  So I'm here petitioning you to make a "Paid" plugin add-on that would allow the ability to send and receive OSC messages for recording, video software and Hardware.

OSC is very popular and I have included a couple of links to websites that could possibly help you to understand how OSC works. but again the Panels plugin is close.  I also included links of implementations, software, api's and examples to show you it's not a waste of time and will extend the use case for VoiceAttack.
